cvs... hmm - me stupid?

Im one of those who isnt born with the terminal in one hand and an obscure *nix in the other and im a little bit afraid every time I look in to that big scare place called cvs.drupal.org Not because it isnt filled with code n code n code, but because i dont understand cvs at all - and when there isnt a cvs app on the osX theres useable for a dummy like me (or is there?) and it looks more like you have to commit through the terminal *aaargh*

Yeah i know RTFM - but damn man i aint gonna take my first baby steps up in cvs.drupal.org and crap something up - hell no.
and just reading the manual ... geeez...

Now when i think about it. ...hmm its kinda strange that you gotta have a cvs übergeek to submit (ahem commit right? ) something that should be more of a design thingie: a theme...
How the hell are the Drupal community ever gonna get normal[*] designers to commit ?
Another thing -isnt cvs like the worst thing ever if you work with loads og png,jpg,gif etc ?

Maybe its just the harsh world of drupal - *Suck it up boy and learn that cvs* but maybe theres a more suitable way for the themes to be added to drupal.orgs downloads? - why not SVN?

With drupalcon Barcelona comming up in 14 days, maybe theres some kind soul who would teach me that cvs stuff, so i can be one of the cool kids - ill even by you a beer? ;)

*normal would be those who can say my native language is xhtml-css-javascript-photoship-drupal-n-stuff, and spit at dreamweaver, because we know that someday its gonna fuck up our beautiful code
