jeff eaton caught me at a session
The war is on! awesome Tee i got :) ze goal! i like to be very direct ;)

all youre html are belong to us session

As promised heres my slides from the drupalcon.
Hoped people liked the session even that i kinda dropped the whole "this is the best module ever" and went down the road of "Dude - learn you tiplphip magick and youll rock".
This was actually one of the mentally hardest session I have ever held. Don't know if it was the room or the subject? or the fact that i was speaking in a 500+ room where mark boulton, Dries boytard, Earl myles, john albin  and other "big" names gave their session.

if youre interested in playing around with the mothership please go ahead, its still in devel mode. But im using it for everything so ;)

Designer vs. Themer vs. Developer... stop the dumb shit!

I really hope that bitch fest is over, im tired of plain dumb talk. We need each other. So ether get on the program - and not the programmer ;)
Give some love to that designer that are sexing up your hard work so the users get that happy yummi feel when there using the site youre building.
Understand why the developer is pretty tired of you focusing on those 3 pixels to the left when hes battling with merging database, and web apis to play happy together, so the website dont break, if it ends up with more than 10 users.
oooh and dear fellow hero themers before you begin to hate: check out the .tpl.php files in the modules, and the theme_foobar(); function in the moule. Yup its expected that you learn some basic php. If you wanna work with the mighty Drupal- better accept that you moved up to the big leagues of CMS systems - so stop the crying, and enjoy the opportunities to enhance you html, css & javascript languages with some php - relax its just a templating language ;)

10. Things ive learned in paris

Following up on Lauras post.

1. Never trust blindly the drupalcon website when it lists hotels ;)

The hotel were about 20 minuts walk from the tram, it was under massive construction and pretty much sucked ass. oh well it had good nerdy friends from Four Kitchens, development seed - and super hero moshe, so it didnt end up all bad ;)

2. Bars in Paris are small & expensive

I Thought we got it bad here in copenhagen with a pint going from 3.5€ to 6.5€, but the prices were absurd some places... if im getting charged 13€ for a pint I at least expect a lab dance (even if its from john Albin

)

3. Drupalgangers

wtf guess we have a scene outside the nerdy ranks of boyfriends, wives, husband & girlfriends. Its a pretty cool name btw, and it was super seeing the better half of so many of my nerdy friend ... hmm now im thinking bout it I think ill hang out with the better halfs next time ;)

4. Be specific about afterhours activities.

Lesson learned: Be very specific about a meeting point. a bar, restaurent etc someplace where people can hang out all night, the possibilities of meeting anyone in a huuuuge city as Paris is bound to #fail. We should know now that the secret hot sauce of the Drupal community is alchohol!
A big thanks to the Aussie who stepped in with his absurd knowledge of the bars in paris :P
btw was there any activities for the youngsters, and them that dont hangs out in bars? Sure hope it, not that I would know - kinda like standing in a bar talking crap all night :P

5. Food in paris Rocks!

I hate the touristic restaurants, and with my french is non existing, I took a pride in not knowing what I ordered (while I prayed that i didnt got snails or frog ) It worked out pretty well, the food was awesome :P

6. I dont have the record in most Fuck, modaFuka, fuck by the minute!

and I almost did a session with out saying fuck you - you - you - you and you, hats of to you lisa we better do a session one day about communication through foul languages.

7. We have a kick ass community!

Im still surprised of how cool we are ;) so many good & clever people I meet at these events, its pretty cool to see how fast that the code and ideas flows when people talks.
The upcomming "semantic views" module from #! is just so badass, it was pretty sweet to get an IRC post bout it under marc boultons session about grid systems, installing the module, and bam! configurable markup in the view(s)! Would that have happen if we didnt meetup?

8. geek Röyale Tee's are pretty popular

I had around 100 of 'em 50 Jack Drupal and a bunch of my new geek Röyale shirt, and they sold as beers at a football game. A big thanks to those of you who actually paid for 'em in the shop at the Drupalcon. I was handing them around but I didnt wanna carry them around anymore - so I gave them to to the drupalcon. It took around 20 minuts before they were sold out :)
hmm I should open a shop, but cafe press etc, they quality just sucks ass, anyone knows a better spot? cause its a pain to handle packaging.
And yes i will make Low V neck pink & gold version of the geek Röyale Pirate - Ladies I here ya, you wanna wear that geek pride!

9. We have loads of geeks who digs that design thingie

Wow how awesome was that!! "we" the "designers" (ux, designer, themer, whatever...) had our very own track, the sessions were packed! much Kudos to the frenchies for giving us the track.
Think I spotted more than one übergeek at those sessions ;), its pretty sweet to learn that people i thought were stock inside the Terminal has a love affair with typography.

10. The dcon blues

Im totally dead after a drupalcon - so next time i will not have any deadlines, untill the week after!
I had to head home from the office and get some sleep now im awake again...wtf jetlag from paris -> copenhagen
Im looking forward to get back to San Fransisco.

#fail

doh! apprently the slides are not up yet at the drupalcon site, and they should have the video etc
